September Tournament Results

Amity Chess players,

On Friday we held September's monthly tournament, you can view the tournament at http://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain.php?201809286992. The tournament ended with a four-way tie for first place, with Daniel Reilly, Christopher Giannaras, Peter Jackson, and Robbie Forrey each having 2 points. Congratulations to all 4 players!

As a reminder, here are the following monthly tournament dates:

New Site Manager

Hello players,

I have undertaken the role of communications director, and thus one of my duties is to manage the club website. As some of you may know, the website has been out of date for much time. I intend to change that by revising various aspects of the site and making posts (such as this one). Youth Simultaneous Chess

Amity Chess Club
Friday, November 21 2014, 7 PM

Join us on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:00 pm for the annual Turkey Night with a bonus Youth Simultaneous Chess event with challenger Ben Tokars (the top youth chess player in the club). Ben will challenge all players 17 and under simultaneously.

During and after the simultaneous chess, Dick Jokiel (club president) will once again play anyone who dares to take away his title as the "Big Turkey". Anyone that can win a game from the Big Turkey will earn a prize as well as earning the title of "Big Turkey".
