First round starts: 1:30pm
Entry Fee: Everybody $20, U1500/Unrated $15, 2400 & up Free
# of rounds: 7 rounds with blitz playoff to break tiesif necessary.

Three sections.
1.  7-RR. G/13 d3. Top 8 players.
2.  7-RR. G/13 d3. Next 8 players.
3.  7-SS. G/13 d3. All other players. First three rounds paired normally with random pairings or other pairing adjustments possible by round four depending on attendance.

$70 + Trophy prize each section.

Friday--Weekly two blitz tournaments. Each event has an Open and a U1200 section. All events and sections have same time control, entry fee, etc.... but the 1st "early" blitz tournament is 7pm-9pm, while the second "late" blitz tournament is 9pm-11pm.

Special Tournaments/Events
Lancaster Chess Club, Annual Lancaster County Championship [Lancaster]

This is the 70th year for this historic and unique annual event where a tournament played over the course of several weeks.


Each round is played on a Friday and starts at 6:00pm.

Pennsylvania State Chess Federation, Annual State Scholastic Championships [Gettysburg]

Annual State Tournament mainly for Scholastic and College players, however, there is also a tournament ran alongside for adult players. The "Quick Chess" tournament that's held on the Friday night before the main event is open to all players. However, the Saturday night "Bughouse Chess" tournament is only open to Scholastic players (K-12). This tournament (main event) is a two-day tournament, however, there are some one-day sections for the younger scholastic players.

Entry Fee: Varies by section, but if paid earlier is ~$30. If paid later the entry fee increases.
