Monthly Tournament

On one Friday per month, we hold a USCF sanctioned tournament.

A regular club meeting also will be held, though in a separate room to the tournament, so as to not disturb the tournament.

Tournament Details:

You must be a current USCF member (see here if not)
Tournament format is the Swiss System
3 rounds
Time control is G/30 d5
Entry fee is $1. An additional $2 is charged to help cover the rent for the use of the church's facilities.
The first round will start at 7:00pm on the dot (don't be late)
Usually 1 section, however more if large number of players and/or wide rating gap are present
Please bring a regulation tournament chess set and chess clock.
To participate in the tournament you must preregister by 3pm on the day of the tournament

Tournament Preregistration:

We regret that we cannot accommodate onsite registration.

All players must preregister before 3:00pm on the day of the tournament by contacting Steve Courtemanche (our tournament coordinator) via email at amitychessclub@gmail.com or text at (484) 925-9872. Please provide the following information:

USCF ID Number

Building Notice:

At 9pm, the building's door locks itself automatically. If you need to leave and/or re-enter the building after this time, please call Steve Courtemanche at (484) 925-9872 so he can let you back in.

Please monitor your email for updates regarding the tournament, such as potential cancellation due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Any updates, as with all club communications, will primarily be sent via email.
